Mpls police arrest one in shooting outbreak

Minneapolis police have arrested a suspect in the death of a man shot during an outbreak of shootings in the city.

Police say the suspect was arrested Thursday in Minneapolis.

He's in the Hennepin County Jail, pending charges.

The victim - 26-year-old Guled Hashi Mohamed of Burnsville - was shot late Sunday while sitting in a car outside a restaurant at Groveland and Nicollet in south Minneapolis. He died at HCMC the next morning.

Mohamed was among six men shot that night in downtown or south Minneapolis, and so far is the only reported fatality.

Police continue to investigate the case.
