Minnesota principals' group picks new president

The Minnesota Elementary School Principals' Association has elected a principal from the Cambridge-Isanti district as its next president.

She's Kristine Stueve, principal of the Cambridge-Isanti Primary School. She will start her two-year term on July 1.

Stueve has been in Minnesota education for 34 years. She got her first job as a principal in 1993 in North Branch for two years, followed by three years as principal of KMS Elementary School in the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg district.

She has been a principal in the Cambridge-Isanti district for the past 13 years.

The Minnesota Elementary School Principals' Association represents about 950 elementary- and middle-school principals throughout the state.
