Ely nurses back to bargaining

(AP) - A federal mediator has called another bargaining session for a northeastern Minnesota hospital where nurses are threatening to strike.

Nurses at Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital rejected the hospital's contract offer last month and voted to authorize a strike. But no strike date has been set.

The bargaining session is set for June 22.

Both sides have been bargaining since last December.

The nurses say they hope the session results in progress. A telephone message left for the hospital administrator was not immediately returned Thursday.
