Fargo man says robbers forced him to withdraw cash

Fargo police say a man reported early Thursday being punched and forced to withdraw cash from an ATM machine in the south part of the city.

The Forum reports that the man told police he was parked when two men approached his vehicle, punched him several times, got into the vehicle and demanded cash.

Lt. Joel Vettel says the victim reported that he gave them money, but they wanted more and told him to drive to an ATM machine and withdraw cash with his debit card.

Vettel says the suspects told the victim to drop them off at a location in south Fargo.
