The Catfish Derby Days festival begins tonight and runs through Sunday. You can do everything from square dancing to rock wall climbing.
And that's where you might have to go if you "want" catfish interaction the weekend. The annual Red River catfish tournament in the Grand Forks area has been canceled. Officials say the river is too high for anglers to safely get on and off the water.
But there are plenty of other festivals besides the U2 concert around the state this weekend.
A West African Nations Culture Festival features traditional storytelling, West African food and a soccer tournament. The event is noon to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Center for Families, 3333 North 4th Street, Minneapolis.
Have you ever wanted to ride a camel? You'll could do that and enjoy traditional Middle Eastern cuisine this weekend at the Middle Eastern Festival in West St. Paul. The event is put on by the the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and admission is free.
