Shakopee pilot survives crop duster crash

JOICE, Iowa (AP) - A Minnesota man escaped serious injury when his helicopter clipped a power line and crashed.

Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Sailer of Shakopee was dusting crops when his helicopter went down west of Joice in northern Iowa Monday morning.

Sailer's helicopter landed in a corn field, but he refused medical attention.

The Mason City Globe-Gazette says Sailer walked away from the wreck with only minor scratches.

The crash caused a brief power outage in the area.
