Teen's body found in Lake Superior

The body of a missing Duluth teen has been recovered in Lake Superior.

The St. Louis County Search and Rescue Team recovered on Sunday the body of Jefferson Bowen Jr., 13, according to the Duluth News Tribune.

Bowen was swept away while swimming in the rain-swollen Lester River on Tuesday afternoon.

A recreational boater reported what they believed to be a body in the water about 1:40 p.m.

Officials responded and recovered the body about one-quarter mile from shore and nearly 2 miles from the mouth of the Lester River.
