COON RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) - A Coon Rapids man is in custody after police say he set his own house on fire.
The fire was reported about 4 a.m. Sunday. According to police, when firefighters arrived, they saw a man running from the home.
Sgt. John Stahnke says a man was apprehended in the backyard. He says the man appeared to be intoxicated and said a bonfire got out of hand.
The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation and then taken into custody. He's being held on suspicion of arson.
