VIRGINA, Minn. (AP) - The Virginia Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide.
Police say 51-year-old Kimberly Grew and 54-year-old Brian Grew were both found dead on the scene with gunshot wounds Saturday night.
A 911 dispatcher got a call around 8 p.m. from a female screaming for help. Four minutes later, another caller reported that a man had just shot his wife. Police arrived on the scene a couple minutes later.
Acting Police Chief Dennis Benz said in a statement Sunday that investigators spoke with witnesses and examined the scene, and determined that Brian Grew shot his estranged wife and then shot himself.
Autopsies are planned for Monday.
