ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A St. Paul man is charged with setting a fire and attempting to kill the mother of his two sons. The woman told police she saw something crash through her window early Tuesday and ignite her curtains. She says Louis Ambrose ran into the house and sprayed her with lighter fluid.
A criminal complaint says one of the boys, age 10, told police he saw his dad pour lighter fluid on the floor and heard him repeatedly yell that he was going to kill the boys' mother.
Police say they found the 58-year-old Ambrose running from the four-plex apartment building. The complaint says he later told police the woman had been trying to kill him for years.
KARE-TV says (http://bit.ly/npIgoT) Ambrose is charged with arson and attempted murder in the second degree.
