Duluth track standout Matt Kero dies in sleep

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - An autopsy should help determine why a northeastern Minnesota track standout died in his sleep.

Eighteen-year-old Matt Kero was cross country MVP the last three years at Duluth Denfeld High School. He was found dead in his bed on Monday. Kero hoped to be a top cross country runner at St. Scholastica College this fall.

The Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/orcpF0 ) says Kero was planning to join the St. Scholastica track team for a training session in Mahtowa this week.
