Today is the first day of classes for the fall semester at the University of Minnesota. It's also the start of the first full academic year for new University President Eric Kaler. Kaler took over as President on July 1, the day that the Minnesota government shutdown began. It went on for about three weeks. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with President Kaler.
