Wis. Republicans jeered, cheered at Labor Day parade

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) - Labor issues weren't far from people's minds at a closely watched Labor Day parade in Wausau.

At least two Republican lawmakers showed up, drawing a mix of jeers and cheers.

Union leaders initially didn't want any GOP politicians to come. The Marathon County Labor Council argued that Wisconsin Republicans should be banned because they've been working hard to cut union rights. Eventually the group was forced to relent.

A Wausau Daily Herald report (http://bit.ly/qS2bPu ) says U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy of Ashland and state Sen. Pam Galloway of Wausau showed up to Monday's event.
