What the Univ. of minnesota wants to build
University of Minnesota regents are looking at this list of priority construction projects as part of its 6-year "capital improvement plan" and request to the 2012 legislature for $409 million, about $269 million of which would come from the state, and $140 million of the U itself:
Higher Education Asset Preservation and Replacement (HEAPR) -- $90,000
Ambulatory Care Clinic -- $200,000,000
Old Main Utility Building renovation -- $81,000,000
Itasca Biological Station and Labs -- $6,090,000
Eddy Hall & Space Optimization -- $21,000,000
American Indian Learning Resource Center -- $11,025,000
They've discussed maintenance-cost savings of the renovations as well the need for expansions and new buildingsl, but appear to agree with the list above.
They'll review it again next month.
