Three discovered dead in Oakdale home

Three people were found dead in an Oakdale home Thursday afternoon when a 6-year-old girl came home from school and discovered her parents and live-in baby sitter dead in what police said was a double murder-suicide.

Michelle Stark, community affairs officer at the Oakdale Police Department said a neighbor called 911 at around 4 p.m. Officers found two women and one man dead in a home in the 7000 block of 13th St.

Julie Hartman lives across the street from the home. She said she had never seen police called there before. She arrived home Thursday afternoon after her children had heard about the three victims. Hartman consoled the girl and called 911.

"As soon as I got home the kids came running to me and hugging. They were shocked," Hartman said.

Police identified the three people found in the two-story home as Jaime Velasquez, 32; Cintia Guadalupe Ornelas Bustos, 28; and their baby sitter, Angela Uscanga Gonzalez, 43. Velasquez and Bustos had three children, they said.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
