A memorial service is scheduled next month for Eleanor Mondale, daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale and his wife Joan.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Minneapolis, according to WCCO-AM.
Eleanor Mondale died Saturday after a six-year battle with brain cancer. She was 51.
During her career, Eleanor Mondale had stints as an entertainment reporter and as a radio talk-show co-host. She had been off the air at WCCO-AM in Minneapolis since March 2009, when she announced that her cancer had returned for a second time.
