The State Patrol is still trying to reconstruct how an Augsburg freshman was fatally injured apparently while walking on I-94 in Minneapolis around midnight Tuesday.
State Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Eric Roeske said several people saw the aftermath of the crash that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Jason Stevens of Rochester. But no witness have yet come forward.
"We're still trying to determine what led up to this and if he was struck by a vehicle or several other vehicles and if there are other factors involved," Roeske said.
Stevens was an honor student and member of the Augsburg College cross country team. There will be a memorial for him Thursday at the college.
Witnesses should contact the Minnesota State Patrol.
