A TommieMedia article on a student-housing moratorium in St. Paul has a couple of interesting quotations showing the two sides of the neighbors-vs.-party-animals debate that's been going on in the area around the University of St. Thomas.
Junior Leah Olson tells the news service why homeowners living near the campus need to just suck it up:
“College students drink. People throw up. They litter, and that’s just what they do. That’s what you’re signing up for when you live next to campus, Sometimes I’m thinking, well this could be a family’s house. But at the same time I’m also thinking, you chose to live here.”

There's an in-your-face attitude.
And yet we're talking about an institution called SAINT Thomas. Neighborhood Liaison John Hershey says students might need to keep that in mind:
“You go to a Catholic institution, and you don’t love your neighbor. Try to be considerate. The world would be a better place if people were more considerate.”
