Officials ID woman killed by Golden Valley police officer

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the woman killed on I-394 by a Golden Valley police officer as 58-year-old Katherine Marie Gordon.
Gordon died of multiple gun shot wounds at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon on I-394 west of Hopkins Crossroad, the medical examiner reports.
According to Golden Valley Police Department's website, an officer attempted to stop Gordon's vehicle. When she eventually pulled over, the officer found she had a handgun and was then shot by the officer. She died on the scene of the incident. Gordon is listed as a resident of Altadena, Calif.
The Hennepin County sheriff's office is investigating but had no other details today.
The officer, whose name has not been released, is on temporary administrative leave.
