A new trial date has been set for a former high school basketball coach in Lake Crystal who has been charged in the sexual assault of a player.
The trial for 29-year-old Steve Andrew Campbell has been on hold since July. District Court Judge Bradley Walker now says the trial will start Jan. 25. It is expected to take four days.
The Free Press reports Campbell is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl who had been on the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial basketball team he was coaching.
Campbell has acknowledged having sex with the girl in October 2010, but has said it was not a crime because he wasn't coaching her at the time.

Prosecutors disagree. Campbell is not a teacher at the school.
