Minn. tractor operator killed in 3-vehicle crash

A New Ulm man driving a tractor on a county road was killed when he was rear-ended by a pickup truck, thrown from the tractor and hit by another truck.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened on County Road 27 west of new Ulm Wednesday evening. The 58-year-old victim was thrown onto the roadway when his John Deere tractor was hit by a Ford pickup.

The New Ulm Journal says he was then fatally struck by a Nissan pickup. The driver of the Ford truck was taken to Sleepy Eye Medical Center. The driver of the Nissan wasn't hurt.
