Duluth's Occupy demonstrators down to single tent
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Demonstrators protesting against Wall Street in Duluth downsized their encampment to one tent and planned to meet with police about a permit Monday.
Police gave the Occupy Duluth group until midnight Sunday to scale back their camp from 12 to a single tent. Protester Blake Romenesko says the demonstrators are OK with that, but the group doesn't have a special use permit to occupy the site and planned to get one on Monday.
Temperatures in northeastern Minnesota dipped into the single digits overnight. But, the demonstrators don't seem to be deterred. Romenesko tells WDIO-TV they are staying because they have strong passions about the issues involved in the Occupy movement across the country.
