Snow storm leaves 3,200 without power in northern Wis.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Heavy, wet snow left more than 3,200 Wisconsin Public Service Corp. customers in northern Wisconsin without power.

The Green Pay Press-Gazette reports most of the outages as of Sunday afternoon were from Merrill north, particularly in the Tomahawk and Rhinelander areas, including 373 customers in the Wabeno area.

The Green Bay-based utility says snow on power lines and trees caused branches and wires to touch power lines, tripping the outages.

Additional crews have been called in to help restore power.
