A former Austin woman accused of letting her pregnant 13-year-old daughter move in with the 18-year-old father of the baby has been deported.
A warrant was issued for the 31-year-old woman in November after she failed to appear for a court hearing. The woman pleaded not guilty in August to misdemeanor charges of knowingly permitting sexual abuse and contributing to the need for child protection.
But according to court documents, the woman and the father of the baby were deported to Mexico before Sept. 17. Court documents say the daughter is in protective custody and was not deported.
The Austin Daily Herald reports that if the court orders the girl should not return to her mother's care, the girl could be eligible for a green card or U.S. passport.
