Wis. recall organizers to stake out Rose Bowl

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin residents won't get a respite from recall mania at the Rose Bowl.

Organizers of the drive to oust Republican Gov. Scott Walker from office plan to travel to Pasadena for Monday's big game, which pits Wisconsin against Oregon. They plan to hold a rally before the game and solicit signatures from Wisconsin residents and students attending the game.

Democrats and their allies want to throw Walker out of office as payback for his plan to strip most public workers of nearly all their union rights. Recall organizers announced earlier this month they've collected about 507,533 of the 540,208 signatures they need by Jan. 17 to force an election next year.
