St. Paul starts new year with man's death

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- St. Paul police are investigating a man's death that happened early on New Year's Day.

Police learned just before 2 a.m. Sunday that a 20-year-old St. Paul man had arrived at United Hospital with multiple wounds. He died a short time later.

Investigators believe the man was injured at a residence near the intersection of Seventh and Bay Streets. The death is not believed to be random.

Police have made no arrests. No other details were released.
