During this first day of competition, skaters raced down the course, one at a time, attempting to advance in the competition. St. Paul is host to the 2012 Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship. The quarter-mile track begins next to the St. Paul Cathedral and winds down the steepest part of the hill ending near the Kellogg Boulevard onramp to Interstate 35-E.
