Duluth prep basketball player hits 3,000 points

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- A high school basketball player in Duluth has become only the seventh boys player in Minnesota history to surpass 3,000 career points.

Anders Broman is a junior guard who plays at Lakeview Christian Academy. He reached the benchmark during Friday night's 95-61 win over Christ's Household of Faith.

The Duluth News Tribune reports reports Broman scored 39 points Friday, six below his season average.

Afterward he said the team deserves as much credit as him because he couldn't do it without them.

Broman says Minnesota Duluth has offered him a scholarship and he is receiving letters from Division I colleges, but doesn't plan on making a decision before his senior year.
