Man suspects drugs involved in Superior killing

The brother of a man shot dead in Superior said he suspects drug activities were involved.

Antron Cooper, of Minneapolis, said his brother Toriano Dawen Cooper had a drug problem for much of his life.

Superior police say they got a call about 10 a.m. Sunday that a 35-year-old man had been shot while he was doing cleaning or maintenance work on a vehicle.

Toriano Cooper's fiance, Kristina Lampi, is five months pregnant. She tells the Duluth News Tribune that it's too early to know whether drugs were involved. She says he had been sober for 22 days and was doing well.
