Wis. assistant principal attacked, student arrested

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A female student at Milwaukee Hamilton High School has been arrested for attacking an assistant principal.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the 16-year-old girl attacked the assistant principal Monday afternoon, perhaps because she was upset over a suspension.

Milwaukee police has officers stationed at the schools and responded quickly. They had to use pepper spray to get the girl under control.

School spokesman Tony Tagliavia calls the incident ``troubling.'' He says the girl is being moved to an alternative program for students with behavioral issues.

Tagliavia called on parents to help prevent incidents.
