In "The World America Made," author Robert Kagan asks, "What would it mean for the future if the international order were no longer shaped primarily by the United States and like-minded allied nations? Who or what would take America's place? And... equally important: Is America really in decline?"

Kagan's book is Kerri's pick of the week. She admires Kagan's "counter intuitive thinking" and says Kagan's argument that America is not in decline is "very clear and persuasive." She's not the only admirer; Kagan serves as advisor to Mitt Romney and his writing reportedly influenced Presidents Obama's State of the Union address.

Kagan will be Kerri's guest on February 23 at 11:00.
