Dog reunited with Duluth family after 300-mile journey

A Duluth couple spent countless hours trying to find their beloved Siberian Husky who disappeared on New Year's Day.

Teresa and Nick Musel searched by snowmobile, four-wheeler, truck and on foot for 1-year-old Chassis. Through posters and Facebook postings, the Musels poured through dozens of tips about their missing pet.

It was an unlikely contact via Craiglist that led them hundreds of miles away to southern Minnesota. A family in Cloquet had taken in a stray husky with similar markings. The Musels and the Kiefer family exchanged photos and information. A video chat convinced Teresa Musel to make the 5-hour drive to Cloquet where she was reunited with Chassis, who had been on a seven-week journey of nearly 300 miles.

The Duluth News Tribune says the Musels now have Chassis micro-chipped and plan to get a GPS collar.
