The chief executive officer of Select Comfort Corporation is stepping down.
Bill McLaughlin will leave the Plymouth-based mattress-maker on June 1. McLaughlin is credited with helping create and launch Select Comfort's Sleep Number brand in 2001. The specialty beds allow individuals to adjust the firmness and support of each side of the mattress with the touch of a button.
McLaughlin will be succeeded by chief operating officer Shelly Ibach who worked for Target Corporation before joining Select Comfort in 2007.
McLaughlin is a member of Minnesota Public Radio's Board of Directors.
