Ex-NFL player to make Minn. political announcement

Former North Dakota State and Buffalo Bills player Phil Hansen plans to make a political announcement Thursday in Minnesota.

Hansen would not say what he plans to announce. But a media advisory says he has ``made an important decision'' that he wants to share with residents of Senate District 4.

Hansen has scheduled stops in Detroit Lakes, Moorhead and Ada.

The 43-year-old Oakes, N.D., native was a defensive lineman for the Bison and the Bills. He played 11 years for Buffalo, from 1991 to 2001, and joined the Bills' Wall of Fame last September.
