Victims of fiery crash identified in Eagan

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) -- Police say two people killed in a fiery head-on crash in Eagan were local residents.

Investigators say the drivers of two vehicles were killed Saturday about 6 p.m. when one of the motorists crossed the center line. The victims are 18-year-old Ashim Ahmed Jr. and 42-year-old Kelly Kristiansen, both of Eagan. The drivers were alone in their vehicles.

Police Sgt. Jennifer Wills tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press the Minnesota State Patrol is reconstructing the accident.
