Body believed to be bridge jumper recovered from river

Law enforcement authorities today recovered the body of a man they believe jumped from the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis two weeks ago.

The body was retrieved at the Ford Dam in the Mississippi River in St. Paul.

A man was seen jumping off the bridge at 6 p.m. March 20, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's department has been searching the Mississippi River daily since the incident.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, has not been identified.
