Mpls. police shoot, kill allegedly armed man

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A man shot and killed by Minneapolis police after they say he approached them with a knife has been identified.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office says the victim was 40-year-old Delshawn Crawford Sr. He was listed as having no permanent address.

A St. Paul Pioneer Press report says officers responded to a call early Saturday morning of a domestic assault involving weapons. Police say they could hear a woman screaming but were refused entry to the second-floor apartment.

Two officers forced their way in, and say they were met by a man with a knife.
