One year after north Minneapolis tornado, a principal looks back

Principal David Branch
David Branch, principal at Lucy Craft Laney Elementary School in North Minneapolis, leads the school in marking the first anniversary of the tornado that struck their community last year. Along with many of his students, Branch's own family was uprooted for five months. Despite concerns that attendance at the school would drop from students being displaced, the number of students has actually grown. The focus of the first anniversary are on the community's resilience.
