A new study shows that the Twin Cities region is only 26th out of 51 metropolitan areas ranked as best cities for tech industry jobs. The study comes just before local tech start-up group Project Skyway hosts a showcase event next week.

Policymakers and business leaders tend to tout the region as being a strong magnet for high tech companies. Is the region as strong as local conventional wisdom says? What are the region's true strengths and weaknesses in cultivating a tech-based economy?

Mark Schill, vice president of research at Praxis Strategy Group and managing editor of New Geography, will join The Daily Circuit to talk about the study what it means for the Twin Cities tech industry. Margaret Anderson Kelliher, president and CEO of Minnesota High Tech Association, will also join the discussion.
