Pawlenty, who been named among possible running mates for Romney, is scheduled to attend Wednesday's opening of a campaign office in Jackson and a "Strengthening The Middle Class" event in the Kalamazoo County community of Portage.
Pawlenty is expected to be joined by Republican Congressman Fred Upton at the second event.
The appearance by Upton, of St. Joseph, comes a day after he moved on to November's general election by winning his primary rematch with former state lawmaker Jack Hoogendyk in Michigan's 6th District. After Tuesday's win, he'll face Mike O'Brien in the general election.
