Byron woman, 55, dies after ATV flips

BYRON, Minn. (AP) -- A woman in southeastern Minnesota has died after the all-terrain vehicle she was riding hit a rut and flipped over. The driver and two other passengers suffered minor injuries.

Olmsted County authorities identified the woman as 55-year-old Diane Vincent of Byron.

Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Kazeck says the crash happened Saturday about 7:30 p.m. near Chatfield.

He says Vincent's 33-year-old daughter was driving the ATV with Vincent and two other passengers. He says the vehicle was moving slowly when a tire fell into a rut, causing the vehicle to flip.

A Post-Bulletin of Rochester report says the driver and two other passengers sustained minor injuries.

Kazeck says neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor.
