An op-ed by Dwanna Robertson, writer for Indian Country Today Media Network, caught our eyes because she points out that this season brings many socially acceptable, yet hurtful, references and stereotypes of Native Americans to the forefront. She explains that being told to "get over it [when people use a socially acceptable yet insensitive term]" devalues an entire group of people.
