Police: Robbery suspect shoots at officers
Rice County sheriff's officials say they've arrested a gunman who robbed a Northfield hotel and fired at officers.
Deputy sheriff Dave Stensrud says a police dog helped track down the suspect in Northfield.
Authorities say the suspect was wearing a black ski mask and carrying a handgun when he robbed the America's Best Value Inn about 3 a.m. Monday.
Responding officers located a getaway vehicle not far from the motel. Officers say the suspect fired at police as he fled, but no one was injured. A female passenger in the vehicle was also arrested.
