This week's hounds explore a melding of two South Asian music traditions, a play about intimacy, marriage, and the legacy of Victorian sexual mores, plus a film series that gives American avant garde filmmakers their due.

 is joining forces with Minnesotan and North Indian vocalist 

 and St. Catherine University Music Professor Allison Adrian predicts it will be an amazing pairing. The concert happens this Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30pm, at Hamline University's Sundin Music Hall.



The Walker Art Center has amassed an impressive collection of works from some of the most important American avant garde filmmakers of the last century. Local arts writer, critic and curator Mason Riddle went to see T

, and found a feast of experimental visual imagery. Through Jan. 6.





Peter Rothstein, founding artistic director of Theatre Latte Da in Minneapolis, had the pleasure of seeing 

 aka 'the vibrator play,' when it premiered at New York's Lincoln Center a few years ago. Peter is anxious to see the treatment it gets from Bain Boehlke and a star studded cast at the Jungle Theater. Through December 16.
