Fargo Beer Co. might start brewing in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- The Fargo Beer Co. is close to being able to brew in the city it's named for.

The Fargo City Commission accepted and filed an ordinance this month that establishes a new kind of brewing license in Fargo.

The Fargo Forum reports that the license will allow Fargo Beer Co. to buy land to build a brewery. The company now brews its bubbly at Sand Creek Brewery in Black River Falls, Wis. The product is then shipped into this area and sold at taverns across Fargo-Moorhead.

One of the company's partners, Aaron Hill, says he hopes to be announce soon where the brewery will be located.
