Gov. Walker pushes for Wisconsin school voucher expansion

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker wants to expand the school voucher system in his state. In a speech at the Ronald Reagan Library last year he said, "Every child -- no matter what ZIP code they come from, no matter what their parents' background -- every child in my state and in this country should have the opportunity to have access to world-class education."

Milwaukee has had a private school voucher program since 1990 and Racine has had a program in place for the last two years.

Walker's efforts to expand school vouchers last year failed when large numbers of rural voters came to the Capitol to voice their protests, but he will renew his efforts this legislative session.

Patrick Wolf, a proponent of school choice, and Barbara J. Miner who is against it, join The Daily Circuit Thursday, Jan. 31 to discuss Gov. Walker's efforts.
