Pilot dies in Otter Tail County plane crash

The pilot of a small plane has died in a crash in western Minnesota.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office says it got a call about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday that a plane had gone down north of Parkers Prairie. A man who lives along county Highway 40 heard the crash and found the damaged single-engine plane on his property.

Otter Tail County sheriff's officials have identified the victim as 41-year-old Adam Menze of Ottertail. He was alone in the plane.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
