Kerri's book pick this week is "Live by Night" by Dennis Lehane, a novel that follows the son of a Boston police captain as he becomes a successful and powerful bootlegger.
Kerri says, "What's great about 'Live by Night' is that it is set in the era of Prohibition in Tampa. I knew nothing about the city in that time. Lehane digs into the colorful history of Ybor City [a Tampa neighborhood]."
The Christian Science Monitor reports Ben Affleck will write and direct the film adaptation.
