The vulnerable population registry is meant for people who require additional assistance, especially with transportation, in the event of a disaster.
Officials say those people typically live independently or with the help of a caregiver.
The National Weather Service says there's a 50 percent chance that the Fargo-Moorhead area could be in for one of the top five Red River floods of all time.
The phone numbers to register are 701-476-4016 in Cass County and 218-299-5220 in Clay County.
