Interim shuffle at MnSCU

I was too busy covering the Senate higher-education omnibus bill to get to post on some temporary job changes announced yesterday by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system.

North Hennepin Community College President John O'Brien will be heading to the central office to be interim vice chancellor for academic and student affairs on June 1. O’Brien is replacing Douglas Knowlton, who also has an interim appointment as vice president of student academic success at Metropolitan State University.

Meanwhile, Inver Hills Community College President Tim Wynes will be interim president of Dakota County Technical College as of July 1. MnSCU will start looking for a permanent president for DCTC early this fall. Wynes is replacing Ron Thomas, who is retiring.
